How Pickup Works
Neighbors pool their orders so a volunteer coordinator can buy in bulk and pass the price straight through — at cost, no markup. Here's how a pool goes from open to picked up.
-
1
Join a pool
Find an open pool for a product you want, choose your quantity, and join. It's free — no membership fee.
-
2
The pool fills
Once enough neighbors join to reach the bulk minimum, the pool closes and the order is locked in.
-
3
A coordinator buys at cost
A volunteer coordinator makes the bulk purchase from a supplier and splits it among everyone who joined — no markup added.
-
4
Pick up locally and pay at cost
Collect your share at the local pickup spot and pay what the group paid, plus a small shared fee for gas and packaging.
Pickup details
Where do I pick up?
Pickup locations are announced when a pool closes — usually a coordinator's home or a community space in your neighborhood.
When do I pay, and how much?
You pay at cost — what the group pays — plus a small shared operating fee for gas and packaging. Payment is confirmed after the final price is settled, usually at or before pickup.
Can someone else pick up for me?
Yes — just let the coordinator know who's collecting on your behalf.
